As if getting a visit by a look-a-like white Jesus on his Yeezus tour wasn’t enough to garner headlines, Kanye West has proven that he is just getting started. Reports have shown that Yeezus tour merchandise ranges from confederate flag t-shirts with a skull that reads “I Ain’t Comin’ Down,” to skeletons wearing Indian headdresses saying “God Wants You” and tote bags with just the confederate flag.
The tour merchandise designs were created by the artist Wes Lang. The confederate flag remains a racist symbol in the black community and considering Kanye West is an urban audience it will be interesting to see how his fans react to this in the long run. Tour dates have already been postponed possibly due to his team reconsidering the tour concept due to initial negative reactions. The Yeezus Tour runs through December 7,2013.
