King of gaffes, Kanye West went on Ryan Seacrest today to continue to gush about his new engagement to reality star and celebutante Kim Kardashian. Kanye went on to praise Kim and her influence that he says far reaches that of First Lady Michelle Obama because we all know that thousands of Instagram likes is more important than Michelle trying to cure American obesity among children.
“There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now. She’s got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday,” he said, noting that reality stars have often been overlooked by mainstream fashion magazines. “And collectively, we’re the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [Barack Obama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.”
We’re not sure what to make of this newest Kanye rant. It’s unclear whether he is lobbying to get Kim a Vogue cover or requesting a picture of Michelle Obama in a bikini to compare Instagram likes. Kanye, black people thought it was okay when you dissed George Bush, but a jab at the first black president’s wife might take a while to be forgiven for. Kanye is just a walking tabloid quote waiting to happen.
